Non-Tailgating Parking/Traffic Information

Where To Tailgate

Lambeau Field itself is all reserved parking but there are nearby lots where you can purchase a parking pass and still be able to tailgate. The outfit that handles these passes is Ticket Star and you can call them at 1-800-895-0071. This may be the easiest way to take care of parking and tailgating if you're not familiar with the area around Lambeau Field.

Otherwise, I offer alternatives below:

If you want to tailgate in a prime location, refer to the map below with the numbered points. The only drawback is the traffic can be bad getting in and out. Plan on arriving early to get a good spot and avoid the peak traffic, and don't be in a hurry after the game. Many people will tailgate after the game which can be a good alternative to jumping into the middle of the traffic jams.

POINT ONE: Lambeau Field itself is the ultimate location for tailgating. If you want to really soak up the Lambeau tailgating experience then you should arrive up to an hour early before the parking lot opens. The lot normally opens 4 hours before game time but that can vary. The hard-core folks are always the first ones in line and they all end up parking together because the lot attendants herd them in an orderly fashion as they fill up the lot. You'll be right in the middle of the die-hards if you're there when they open the lot.

PONT TWO: West of Lambeau Field is a K-Mart store that opens up its lot for tailgating for a fee. It's a traditional location for many Packer fans who have been going there for years. It's only a couple blocks from the stadium and easy to get to, it's right off of Lombardi Avenue.

POINT THREE: There's a road that borders the southern border of Lambeau. It doesn't go through so you need to enter from Oneida on the east or Ridge Road on the west. Many of the homes will let you park on their lawn and tailgate. It's right next to Lambeau and just like being there. The better lots are to the west by Ridge Road.

PONT FOUR: There's a number of lots along Lombardi Avenue where you can park and tailgate. They're easy to get to but can be a long walk to the stadium.

Suggestions For Tailgating

If you want to experience Packer Tailgating but don't have the fixin's or can't bring 'em with you or just don't want the hassle, here's some ideas and suggestions for you:

Idea One: Packer Fan Tours sponsors a tailgate at every home game in Green Bay. Call 1-800-851-PACK for details and cost. You just show up and they'll have the food and drinks ready!

Idea Two: Park in the K-Mart lot mentioned above. Within walking distance to the west is a grocery store. They have an excellent deli and you can buy all the food and drinks you need for a first class tailgate and you don't have to cook! You can also go into the K-Mart and possibly purchase a cheap grill and still be able to have your own cookout without having to haul everything. A good option if you're flying in and renting a car.

Idea Three: Hang out at Kroll's. Kroll's is a small restaurant located across the street from Lambeau Field in the southwest corner. Sometimes they'll have a live band. It's always a party in there if you like lots of people and lots of noise.
